In southern Corfu, between the fishing village of Boukari and Kouspades, extend the olive groves owned by my family since the beginning of last century.
For centuries, the life of the island and its people have been inextricably linked to the Lianolia olive variety which is exclusively found on the island because it was this little olive tree that fed them in difficult times. The entire intangible cultural heritage of the island: traditions and customs, traditional songs and dances, folk art creations emerge with the aroma of an olive tree.

My childhood memories of visiting my family’s olive groves on the island of Corfu, walking, and listening to my grandparent’s stories about the land, the harvesting, the trees and the precious juice their olives produced gave inspiration to the name Elenitsa, which in Greek means “little Eleni”.
This paradise of ancient trees from which I knew the delicious Extra Virgin Olive Oil my family used for our daily Mediterranean diet was nothing like what had been available to us in the USA.

For years I devoted myself to learning and perfecting cultivation, harvesting, and olive mill practices that give rise to genuinely delectable extra-virgin olive oil, free of defects and faithful to the essence of the Mediterranean diet's healthfulness. My passion along with my entrepreneurial spirit led me to start marketing and bringing this precious extra virgin olive oil to the states. It's important to be aware that not all marketed extra Virgin olive oils are truly extra Virgin. Many fall short, forgoing the health benefits that attest to an authentic EVOO.
